Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd began her journey in combat sports at the young age of fourteen. Along with BJJ, she also trained in boxing, wrestling, and kickboxing. In the age of 18 years old, Ladd had her first appearance as an amateur in WCFC. Ladd had an amazing three-fight winning streak in Ultimate Reno Combat. In the three fights, she defeated her opponent in the very first round. In WCFC Ladd was able to defeat Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous decision. Aspen initially defeated Silvia Babyghian before going on to fight Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 in which she took on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia Calvillo handed Aspen the win in a single-handed manner and beat her in a match that tarnished Ladd's amateur career. Ladd rebounded from her loss with a win over Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, bringing her record up to 8-1. Aspen was a pro-fighter for the first time in 2015 when she signed as a player with Invicta FC. Invicta Fc 11 she dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the one round with a TKO. Invicta took on her in the Bantamweight division and was victorious via submission armbar during the second round. Aspen's superior wrestling skill was able to take down McGill in the first round, and she was able to end her third round by TKO (elbows and punches). Aspen then faced Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She fought Hoy as a catchweight (138.1lb) because Ladd did not make weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy and was able to knock her out in the 2nd round via TKO. The Invicta Fight Night 21 was her last bout in the organization. She defeated Sijara Ebanks in a unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut in UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina through ground-and-pound and won the TKO round in the 2nd. Her dominance continued and she got a bigger win during her next fight against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229 Ladd took over Evinger's fight following the opening round. She also received an extra bonus for her performance that night. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes, in a UFC Fight Night dos Anjos Lee rematch with Sijara's Eubanks, was her first fight that she had in any major capacity. Ladd was the winner of the night's fight bonus fight after the two fighters engaged in hard in a tense fight back and forth. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd in just 16 seconds, putting an end to her winning streak. Yana Knitskaya in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's 3rd round, was defeated by Randamie. In her place, she fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. The fight ended in a unanimous verdict.
